Chitré, Panama
This clinical experience was more than I could have hoped for. Seeing how healthcare in another country differs from that in the United States was very eye opening. The people of Panama were very open and gracious to spend their time teaching us their ways despite a language barrier. The families we helped welcomed us with open arms into their homes as if we were their own. Those with less, gave more. The cultural diversity broadened my horizons as a young woman and new nurse entering the nursing profession. I have kept these memories close to me and will continue to do so as I work toward my future endeavors.
